New psychoactive substances (NPS) count as substances, which are slightly modified compared to illicit drugs regarding their chemical structure circumvent law. Compared classical such heroin, cocaine, or amphetamine, they show similar effects, however, because of novelty there is few knowledge about side effects toxicity. NPS available different substance classes, among them chiral novel derivatives cathinone, and ketamine. Since in most cases no clinical studies the possibly two enantiomers, a big demand for enantioseparation method development. Besides high-performance separation techniques gas chromatography HPLC, capillary electrophoresis has turned out be powerful alternative The addition additives cyclodextrins background electrolyte often results successful attempts. present study compares power previously used non-charged ß-cyclodextrins, native ß-cyclodextrin well some its acetyl-, 2-hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin, with negatively charged carboxymethyl-, carboxyethyl- succinyl-β-cyclodextrin by zone electrophoresis. A total 136 were investigated these cyclodextrins, 122 resolved enantiomers successfully means simple composition consisting 10 mM aqueous sodium hydrogen phosphate buffer, pH 2.5 selector.
